THINGS TO CONSIDER FOR STAYING SAFE DURING SEVERE WEATHER
Have multiple ways to get warning information. (NOAA Weather Radio, StormShield, TV, etc.) If the power goes out or one of the methods is down, then you'll want to have that backup option ready.
Know where your safe place is. Ideally, it's on the lowest level of your home or apartment building in a room with no windows, or as far away from windows as possible.
Practice your severe weather plan, so everyone knows where to go.
