Get ready to sizzle as temperatures soar over the next couple of days. Normal highs this time of year are in the middle 70s. By Thursday we will be near 90, though. The record high for May 2nd (Thursday) is 90, set way back in 1901. Weekend rain chances will help to temper temps into the lower 80s for the weekend.
Rain chances will be stubborn to shake once they return Friday with on and off showers & storms expected Friday through the early part of next week. No severe weather is expected, and there will be lots of dry pockets.
