After some much-needed rain yesterday, sunshine returns today. It'll be a bit breezy with gusts up to 20-25 mph. Highs will only reach the upper 60s to low 70s today.
This means it'll feel great but cool in Smashville as the Nashville Predators have their home opener. The puck will drop at 7:30 p.m., but the Preds party will start at 4 p.m.
Looking ahead to the weekend, a cold front will move across the region with a chance for showers and a few storms.
It's early, but we'll need to keep an eye out for a few strong to severe storms. Currently, the Storm Prediction Center shows the risk for a couple of strong storms with damaging wind gusts being the primary threat.
