The "false fall" from earlier this week is now a distant memory. August has returned in full swing with Mother Nature reminding us with very unseasonably warm temperatures. While this weekend is expected to be a toasty one with highs back in the mid-90s, it's still cooler than what's expected next week.
As the next work week rolls around, temperatures will be near 100 degrees multiple times. While a heat advisory is looking unlikely right now since heat indices will peak below the threshold of 105, it still won't be comfortable outdoors by any means. Lack of rainfall will also cause us to keep a close watch on local burn bans.
