After slamming the brakes like the weather saw a state trooper temperatures are finally starting to climb again. Last weekend we were in the 80s on Saturday and we'll return to similar territory this weekend.
Dry conditions are great for any outdoor activities you have planned this weekend, but it's not great for the worsening drought conditions. Thursday's drought monitor showed a significant expansion of both moderate and severe drought conditions across the area.
Rain chances return next Tuesday/Wednesday courtesy of a week cold front. Total rainfall looks to be under 1/2" from this next system, so it won't be a drought buster but every little drop counts at this point.
