Whiskey Bacon Brie Bites
Makes 15 Bites
3 slices bacon, cooked slightly crispy
¼ cup brown sugar
2 Tablespoons butter, melted
1 Tablespoon Jack Daniel Tennessee Whiskey
¼ cup toasted pecans, chopped
Pinch of salt
8 oz round of Brie cheese
1 pkg (15) frozen mini phyllo shells
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Remove shells from package and place them on a baking pan. Put into oven for 3-5 minutes to get toasty being careful not to get too brown. Remove from oven. Stir together sugar, butter, whiskey, pecans, and salt in small bowl. Cut the brie into squares about ¼ inch in size.
Place a cube of brie into each shell and top with ½ teaspoon of whiskey sugar mixture. Lay a square of bacon on top of each.
Place the filled shells in oven and bake for 10 minutes or until the brie has melted and is bubbly.
Remove from oven and serve warm or at room temperature.
