Ms. Cheap took us to Fort Negley Park for a fascinating history lesson. Fort Negley Park is having a free Community Day from 10am-2pm Saturday, February 29. The day will include visits with living historian Dennis Boggs portraying President Lincoln, as well as US troops, hands-on fossil activities led by a geologist, free wildflower seed packets that visitors can use to start their own pollinator garden, food trucks and a chance to try the new www.NashvilleSites.org tours. Fort Negley is located at 1100 Fort Negley Blvd. in downtown Nashville. Go to www.fortnegley.nashville.gov or call (615) 862-8470 for more details.
