NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Vanderbilt won their first SEC basketball game since March 2018 Wednesday night defeating 18th ranked LSU 99-90.
Saben Lee's 33 points led the Commodores with Maxwell Evans hitting seven shots from deep on his way to a 31-point effort.
Vanderbilt (9-13, 1-8) took the lead with seven minutes left in the first half and didn't give it back to the visiting Tigers (17-5, 8-1), snapping a 26-game conference winless streak.
LSU entered the game undefeated in SEC conference play.
The win is the first Commodores victory of the decade.
Vanderbilt travels to Starkville next to take on Mississippi State Saturday night.
