Posted

The Titans have signed cornerback Adoree' Jackson, the team's second first round pick, to his rookie contract.

The team announced the deal Tuesday afternoon after the 18th overall pick signed shortly after participating in his first full practice with the team. The Titans kicked off Organized Team Activities earlier in the morning.

Jackson, the 2016 Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year and Jim Thorpe Award winner as the nation's top cornerback, finished the season with 55 tackles and 11 interceptions. He also racked up 1,230 all-purpose yards and five touchdowns as a triple threat on offense, defense and special teams at USC.

Jackson is expected to compete for a starting cornerback job immediately in a revamped secondary, opposite prize free agent acquisition Logan Ryan. His versatility may also lead to him being utilized by the Titans on special teams and maybe offense.

Jackson becomes the sixth of the team's nine draft picks to sign his rookie deal.
