NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Tennessee Titans controlling owner Amy Adams Strunk released a statement Thursday afternoon in support of players using peaceful protests to advance the nation forward following the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis.
Strunk advocated that those who face racism should be heard and "more importantly, understood by those who haven't listened before."
The statement comes nearly a week after NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell admitted the league was wrong for not listening to NFL players earlier who were protesting police brutality.
Strunk trumpeted the organization's 'We Stand For' campaign that's making a difference in Music City and across Middle Tennessee.
"Hearts, minds and institutions need to change throughout country," said Strunk.
A resource guide is also being made available to fans inviting them to join the team in moving towards progress on these issues.
