NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- The Tennessee Titans have re-signed tight end Chase Coffman a day after releasing him to make roster space, and they cleared up room by officially placing rookie running back David Cobb on injured reserve designated to return.
The Titans announced the moves Monday.
The team released Coffman on Sunday after claiming linebackers David Bass and Steve Johnson off waivers, and they also traded a draft pick to Cleveland for running back Terrance West.
With Cobb recovering from a calf hurt Aug. 27, the Titans placed their fifth-round draft pick on injury reserve giving him a chance to practice with the team after six weeks and play in games after eight weeks.
