Hundreds of people were on hand for the induction of the 2016 class at the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame Awards.
Those inductions Saturday night included the posthumous induction of Titans great Steve McNair and former Vols' legends Conrad Graham and Lester McClain, who was the first African-American to play at Tennessee.
Distance runner Missy Kane, auto racing legend Mike Curb, and longtime sports writer Joe Biddle were among the others inducted.
Back in February, Peyton Manning led the Broncos to a win in Super Bowl 50 capping his remarkable 18-year NFL career with a second championship.
Saturday, Manning was named the 50th annual Tennessean of the Year by the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame.
It’s an award given for an outstanding contribution to sports in the state, while displaying leadership and character.
