According to the NFL and the Tennessee Titans, DeMarco Murray has announced his retirement from football at the age of 30.
Murray made the announcement Friday morning during a television appearance, the NFL reported.
The former Tennessee Titans running back was drafted out of Oklahoma by the Cowboys in 2011. He played five seasons with Dallas and the Philadelphia Eagles, and he spent two seasons with the Titans.
The NFL said Murray rushed for a career total of 7,147 yards and 49 touchdowns. He caught 307 passes for 2,165 yards and six touchdowns.
