NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Lipscomb’s men’s basketball team departed campus for its first ever trip to the NIT Final Four in New York.
The Bisons will take on no. 6 seed Wichita State Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Madison Square Garden. The winner will meet the winner of the Texas/TCU semifinal for the championship on Thursday.
Lipscomb has made the most of its NIT trip, shaking off the disappointment of losing in the Atlantic Sun Tournament final to win three consecutive road games to reach the Big Apple. The wins include a blowout of top seed UNC Greensboro and last Wednesday’s 94-93 thriller at N.C. State on Kenny Cooper’s last second shot.
