Former Dayton and Georgia Tech head coach Brian Gregory will accept the head coaching job at South Florida, a source confirms to NewsChannel 5, as first reported by CBS Sports' John Rothstein.
Gregory has a 248-180 career record in 13 seasons as a head coach.
He led Dayton to the 2004 and 2009 NCAA Tournaments, and to the NIT championship in 2010. He went 76-86 in five seasons at Georgia Tech, but had his best year in his final season in 2015-2016, going 21-15 and reaching the NIT quarterfinals.
Gregory will replace Orlando Antigua, who was fired midseason after going just 23-55 with the Bulls over two and a half seasons.
