Tennessee State has a long history of turning out exceptional track and field athletes and R'Lazon Brumfield is no exception. The 2019 TSU Male Athlete of the Year was taking off once again this year with a Curtain Call worthy season.
The Jacksonville native won Outdoor Track & Field Athlete of the Year and qualified to represent T-S-U at the N-C-A-A Championships last year as a sophomore.
This season Brumfield was up to more of the same. He won OVC Indoor Athlete of the Year for the third straight season after winning three individual medals including the long jump and triple jump.
That of course is when the season ended. But as the best track athlete in the OVC R'Lazon Brumfield deserves a Curtain Call.
