WHITE COUNTY, Tenn. (WTVF) — We continue our Curtain Call series with the story of Noah O'Shields.
Noah is a senior wrestler that attends White County High School. The only problem is that White County doesn't have a wrestling team.
Under TSSAA rules, students that attend schools that don’t offer a sport can co-op with a neighboring school that does, so O'Shields joined Warren County's wrestling team.
Every day all season, from October through February, Noah drove 40 minutes across county lines to practice and back. His dedication paid off with a special season.
O’Shields finished in fourth place at regionals to become the first state qualifier in his home county's history. He even picked up White County's first state victory before his season came to an end.
That effort, determination and success is why we salute Noah with this Curtain Call.
