MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WTVF) — Never before had a Mt. Juliet Boys' Basketball team gone so far. But before they could even play in their first-ever state tournament game the TSSAA was forced to postpone the event because of the outbreak of COVID-19.
Still we need to celebrate what the Golden Bears accomplished in the games they did play this season in this Curtain Call.
Led by 3A Mr. Basketball Finalist Will Pruitt, Mt. Juliet went 29-3 this season. The Golden Bears threepeated as District 9-AAA champions. Then they won their first ever Region title, and were headed to state for the first time in school history.
Their shot at a state championship will have to wait, but these Golden Bears are trailblazers worthy of this Curtain Call.
