NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — It had the makings of a special baseball season for Lipscomb. The Bisons were 11-5 overall, 9-and-2 at Dugan Field, and poised to make a run at the program's third Atlantic Sun championship.
The Coronavirus halted the season, but can't take away this Curtain Call.
Jeff Forehand's team started 6-0 behind shortstop and A-Sun Player of the Week Brian Moore. They then went on to take two of three in a series against 2019 regional participant Ohio State, and then snapped Alabama's 14-game winning streak.
The Bisons finished the year as the league leader in home runs, with four coming from Malik Williams. And Tyler Guilfoil was one of the best relievers in the nation having yet to allow an earned run.
Even through just 16 games it was a Lipscomb team that will go down as one of the program's best.
