Curtain Call: Christina Rosca

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — One of the top recruits in the nation four years ago, Christina Rosca chose a Vanderbilt women's tennis program that had risen to the top of the rankings.

Her presence on the court helped solidify the Commodores as one of the premier programs in the nation, and her sensational career is worthy of a Curtain Call.

Rosca helped lead Vanderbilt back to the NCAA Championships as a junior, earning All-American honors as an individual. This season she rose to no. 8 in the ITA national singles rankings after five straight dual match wins.

For her career, Rosca notched nearly 100 singles victories alone, and was also a stalwart as a doubles partner throughout her tenure with the Commodores. She was a key member of the squad that reached the NCAA Championships in each of her first three seasons. Vandy finished as the national runner-up to Stanford in 2018 with Rosca in the lineup.

Unfortunately, Vanderbilt won’t get a shot at winning the program’s second national title this season. But Rosca’s four-year run on West End deserves recognition.
