NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Sounds fans got a chance to check out the new First Tennessee Park for free.
The Sounds opened their doors to the community Saturday at its first ever "Family Fun Day” open house.
The event included guided tours of the Sounds' new facilities, a visit with Sounds mascot "Booster," and a lot of free food.
The open house was somewhat of a fan appreciation day.
“Our fans have lived and supported us for 37 years at old Greer Stadium and put up with a lot,” said Garry Arthur, Sounds General Manager. “This is their day. They deserve it, and we hope they enjoy it.”
There were games and activities for the kids, and fans of all ages got to run the bases for about an hour.
