NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A non-profit that helps thousands of Tennessee high school students with scholarships and mentoring is making sure no one is left behind during this pandemic.
For years tnAchieves has done their work face-to-face, but like many others, they're switching gears and doing it all online now.
They're launching what's called the tnAchieves CONNECT. Instead of in person, they'll offer virtual mentoring for students.
Students will be able to video chat, email and message their mentor. For an hour every month, the mentor will help with the college admissions process.
To give you an idea of the impact this could have, tnAchieves helps out more than 100,000 students and serves 90 of Tennessee's counties.
If you're interested in learning more about this program, there will be a webinar next week. They’re offering several sessions. Click here for more information.
