MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WTVF) — Stewarts Creek High School and Rockvale High School are temporarily returning to distance learning due to COVID-19.
James Evans, with Rutherford County Schools, said the schools are reporting a high number of students on quarantine, as well as several staff members.
“We know this is an inconvenience for some parents but we have no other options because of the circumstances,” Evans said.
All students at both schools will move to distance learning beginning Tuesday. The district said they don’t have an exact reopening date yet.
Evans said the schools will also be thoroughly cleaned while closed. They will announce a reopening date for in-person students as soon as they have additional information.
