MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WTVF) — New contract tracing procedures are in place for Rutherford County students.
The district sent out new guidance on Thursday saying only people who have been in contact with someone who has a confirmed case of COVID-19 must quarantine.
Because of this recent change, the district says it will work with families to get students currently in quarantine back to the classroom over the next few days.
Only those who have symptoms or have been in contact with a confirmed case have to remain in quarantine.
Previously anyone who had been in contact with someone who has COVID-19 or someone who has a suspected case was required to quarantine per the district’s rules.
