ASHLAND CITY, Tenn. (WTVF) — Two people within the Cheatham County Central High School football program have tested positive for COVID-19, prompting the entire team to go into quarantine.
Tim Adkins with Cheatham County Schools said the decision to quarantine the entire team rather than conduct contract tracing was made in the best interest of the student-athletes.
All practices for the program have been halted until August 19, when the team will begin preparing for its first game on August 28.
CCCHS will not play during week one on August 21. The game was called off due to Clarksville-Montgomery County Schools delaying the start of its high school football season until August 31.
