New unemployment claims in Tennessee fell by 2K last week

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — The number of new unemployment claims filed last week in Tennessee dropped by about 2,000 from the week before.

According to newly released data from the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development, 7,770 new claims were filed during the week ending on October 24. The week before that, 9,873 new claims were filed.

The number of continued claims also decreased last week by about 7,000 to 70,982. Click here to file a claim in Tennessee.
