NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Restaurants are getting creative for Valentine's Day to cater to customers during the pandemic.

Jasper's opened in October on West End near downtown Nashville. "It’s approachable bar food for lack of better terms, Chef Paquette is known for her very flavorful kind of intricate dishes at Etch and Etc, this was her opportunity to do something casual," Ali Gensert said.

At 4Top Hospitality, Gensert is the Marketing Director. She said Etch and Etc came up with meal kits for couples to cook at home.

"Actually those options were so popular that they completely sold out already so we’re really excited about that," Gensert said.

Since some customers will celebrate Valentine's and Galentine's Day at home, the pastry chef at Jasper's is offering a cookie decorating kit to go. Gensert said restaurants are trying to offer options for all their customer's needs while working to stay afloat.

"We just really want to continue to meet guests where their needs are at, so if guests are comfortable coming into the restaurant, they can rest assured that we’re following all the safety protocols, we’ve got tables spaced out, there’s plenty of room in between each table, so the guests do feel comfortable," Gensert said.

Amerigo's partnered with Goo Goo Clusters to do a virtual cooking class for Valentine's Day and that booked quickly. However, it's not too late to get your order in for cookie decorating kits. Customers can place orders on Friday at Jasper's.

Lots of places are doing alternative Valentine's Day options, here's a look at a few more:
