More than 10K new unemployment claims filed in Tennessee last week, up 3K from the week prior

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — More than 10,000 new unemployment claims were filed last week in Tennessee, an uptick from the week prior.

The Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development released the latest numbers on Thursday, saying 10,198 new claims were filed during the week ending on Dec. 26. The week before that, 7,411 new claims were filed.
