FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WTVF) — CoolSprings Galleria in Franklin has reopened with new protective measures that follow CDC guidelines.
Beginning Friday, the galleria will be open from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. on Monday through Saturday and from noon – 6 p.m. on Sunday. Individual store and restaurant hours may vary.
Many customers didn't realize most stores weren't open when they stopped by. One of them described it as a ghost town.
"It's a little disappointing," customer Cassie Spruill said. "All you can do is walk.
"The mall will ont have all of the retailers open today or over the weekend. I think there will be a gradual ramp up of operations," CoolSprings Galleria spokesperson Stacey Keating told NewsChannel 5. "We are going to be updating the website with a list of retailers that are open throughout the weekend."
Keating encouraged customers to check the website or even call the store before driving to th mall.
Shoppers are asked to follow CDC guidelines for social distancing and hygiene practices. If you’re experiencing symptoms, you should stay home.
Right now, the mall is prohibiting groups of more than 10 people congregating. Several areas remain closed, including the food court, children’s play area, soft seating areas and drinking fountains.
Mall staff and security will be wearing masks when in common areas and interacting with the public, and retailers are encouraged to provide mask to employees.
