They are Republican political analysts Chip Saltsman and Bill Phillips. Phillips managed the 1988 Republican National Convention that nominated Mr. Bush to be President. He remained a campaign aide, friend and advisor to President Bush in the years to come. Saltsman had many experiences with the President on the campaign trail and elsewhere.
