HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A Hendersonville woman was arrested and charged with arson after police say she set her fiance's house on fire five times in one day.

After a nearly two-month long investigation, officers arrested 48-year-old Tiffany Hummel Monday in Smyrna.

Hummel's fiance was renting a home on the 300 block of North Birchwood Drive. Police say from April 16-17 she set the house on fire five times, stealing items from the home before setting the fires.

On the fifth try, the flames destroyed the home and its contents.

Hendersonville Police officials charged Hummel with five counts of arson and one count of theft over $2,500.
