NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — WeGo Public Transit is beginning to resume its operations. Due to continued closures downtown, there will be detours and other restrictions until further notice.

According to WeGo, operations resumed at 5 a.m. Saturday morning. They had ceased operations Friday due to the Christmas Day bombing in Nashville.

As much of downtown Nashville is still closed, there are detours and restrictions with WeGo routes. No buses or Access trips will pick up, drop off or operate between Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Korean Veterans Boulevard, from First Avenue North to Sixth Avenue North.

WeGo customers are asked to stay out of this zone and board either at WeGo Central - located at 400 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard - or another stop along the route outside of the zone.

These changes in WeGo operations will remain in effect until further notice.

Continuous updates can be found at WeGo Public Transit's website.
