Weekend storms caused wind damage stretching 125 miles

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Severe storms left a path of straight-line wind damage nearly 125 miles long Sunday morning. It stretched from Lawrence County, through Marshall, Bedford, Cannon, Warren, White, and into Cumberland County.

Straight-line winds in excess of 95mph downed trees, knocked out power, and damaged homes.

An EF0 tornado with 85mph wind touched down near the Sparta Golf and Country Club.

It was on the ground for 6.88 miles taking it across Crossville Highway 70 and into the Bon Air Community. It downed trees and damaged several farm outbuildings and barns.
