Due to the threat of weather, for the first time, the Battle of the Bands competition was canceled.
Winds were predicted to gust at times up to 40-45 mph, especially along the Cumberland Plateau.
Despite the Battle of the Bands cancellation, all other events are planned as normal for the weekend.
Both the Predators and Titans will play in Nashville this weekend and the Music City Bowl is still on schedule.
A Wind Advisory is in effect until 6 a.m. on Friday. Rain showers will linger into early tomorrow, but should be out of the area in time for the Music City Bowl.
