A water main break has closed a significant portion of Lewisburg Pike in Franklin.
The incident was reported early Thursday morning and extends from Mack Hatcher to East Fowlkes Street.

The cause of the break was not known. The road was closed through evening rush.
Drivers were asked to expect delays on alternate routes, as well.
