Pregnant woman, unborn child dead after being struck by a hit-and-run driver on Dickerson Pike

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A pregnant woman and her unborn child are dead after they were struck by a hit-and-run driver after early Sunday morning in the 3000 block of Dickerson Pike.

According to Metro Police, Uoli Mejia Primero, 37, was crossing Dickerson Pike around 3:15 a.m., when she was struck by a vehicle driving southbound.

Officials say the driver fled the scene.

Primero was transported to Skyline Medical Center where she and her unborn child died. Primero was six months pregnant.

This incident happened outside of a crosswalk.
