COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — It’s been more than seven months since tornadoes ripped through middle Tennessee, killing 25 people. When the tornadoes tore through homes, they sent priceless keepsakes and everyday items flying into the air.
This weekend at the Putnam County fairgrounds survivors will have a chance to take a step toward healing. The tornado “lost and found” will give anyone the chance to bring items they may have found amid the damage. It will also give those who lost precious items a chance to search for them in an organized manner.
The event will be held Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the Women’s Building at the Putnam County Fairgrounds.
There were also thousands of photos recovered from the tornado.
