NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Tootsie's Orchid Lounge is temporarily closing for cleaning after cases of COVID-19 at its downtown location have been confirmed.
Officials for the honky tonk said an individual who had not recently been on the property tested positive while out of state. In response, Tootsie's will close for a few days to sanitize the business.
Tootsie's officials said it is sanitized regularly throughout each day before, during and after an employee's shift and customer interactions.
In a statement, Tootsie's officials said any employee who contracts COVID-19 will be supported financially during their recovery.
