Read Me Day is a fun day for students aiming to celebrate reading and encouraging students to read on their own.
Nashville Mayor Megan Barry was also in on the reading action. She read to a classroom Friday as well.
She was joined by the Nashville Sounds’ Hot Chicken mascot, Booster.
