NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Tennessee Titans' Derrick Henry found some time before the team's biggest game of the season to spread some holiday cheer in Nashville.
The newly elected Pro-Bowl running back stopped at a Burlington store and surprised several customers by paying off their layaways.
"It's a blessing, and I'm very thankful. It came at a really good time and I needed it," said customer Brenda Logan. "I'm just, I'm at a loss for words."
He paid off nearly 50 layways, spending $10,000 in total from his own pocket and with nonprofit "Pay Away the Layaway." The nonprofit has taken care of more than $500,000 worth of bills over the past through years thanks to the support from donors around the country.
