Three arrested, drugs seized in undercover drug trafficking case

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Tennessee Bureau of Investigation agents arrested three people in an undercover drug investigation.

Rafael Jimenez of Smyrna, Betzabel Gutierrez-Lima of Nashville and Arturo Peraira-Jimenez of Antioch were arrested Wednesday.

The TBI, Drug Enforcement Administration, FBI and Metro Nashville Police Department began investigating a drug trafficking organization with connections in Middle Tennessee.

Agents conducted search warrants in Rutherford and Davidson Counties with the help of the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office and Tennessee Highway Patrol.

During the searches, they found multiple types of narcotics, cash, and firearms, and made the three arrests.

Below are the individuals' charges:

  • Rafael Jimenez (DOB 03/30/1992), Smyrna: One count Felon in Possession of a Firearm, one count Possession with Intent Schedule VI.
  • Betzabel Gutierrez-Lima (DOB 05/24/1987), Nashville. One count Possession with Intent Schedule II.
  • Arturo Peraira-Jimenez (DOB 11/15/1976), Antioch. Arrested for current outstanding warrants.
