NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A Storm 5 Alert continues for the remainder of the afternoon. a powerful line of storms is moving across the Mid-State with a history of producing damage. A tornado watch is in effect until 1:00 p.m. for areas east of I-65.
Within this line we could see wind gusts of 60-70 mph. We've had several reports of trees down and power outages due to these strong to severe storms today. Intense rainfall is also possible within this line, that could lead to localized flooding concerns.
This line of storms looks to exit our area by 5 p.m.
The main concern is damaging winds, but there is a small chance for isolated tornadoes and localized flash flooding.
