STEWART COUNTY, Tenn. (WTVF) — A third person was arrested and charged for allegedly helping accused murderer Kirby Wallace hide from law enforcement during a massive manhunt.
Sheriff Frankie Gray confirmed David Dover was charged with accessory after the fact and fabricating/tampering with evidence.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation made the first two arrests back in January. Derek Summers and Mindy Harris were charged with accessory after the fact.
The third arrest was made just two days before a scheduled hearing in Stewart County in which Kirby Wallace is expected to get a plea deal.
Possible plea deals in the works for accused killer Kirby Wallace
That plea deal will lead to a second plea deal Friday in Montgomery County. The deal will likely allow Wallace to be given life in prison without parole, avoiding the death penalty.
However, Wallace may still have to meet specific provisions to keep the death penalty off the table.
