FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WTVF) — The two college students stabbed to death outside the Dogwood bar were laid to rest Saturday.
Paul Trapeni III's celebration of life service took place at Historic Franklin Presbyterian Church, where he was a member. He was buried in the Garden of Angels in the Williamson Memorial Gardens.
The Celebration of Life Service for Clay Beathard took place at Grace Chapel Franklin.
Clay's immediate family took turns speaking, including his brother and San Francisco 49ers quarterback, CJ Beathard:
"Overall, I'm just so beyond blessed for the twenty-two incredible years that I got to spend with him. I know what happened to Clay and Paul was so tragic and horrible, and just doesn't seem to make any sense. That's just where trusting God throughout all this helps me find some peace."
The suspect for their stabbings, Michael Mosley, is in custody. His preliminary court date is set for January 7th.
The Trapeni family requests any charitable donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, or Memphis Area Legal Services.
The Beathard family asks for memorials to go towards Franktown Open Hearts.
