NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A Kentucky woman, who's spent more than a week in the hospital recovering from a wreck, got the surprise of a lifetime when Taylor Swift sent her a letter and flowers.
Lindsay, of Marion, Kentucky, was injured in a crash in Clarksville back on March 31. She was flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center and will be discharged on Wednesday.
"I'm like known as the 'Taylor Swift Girl' back home, I'm 23 but I'm still known as that because I've loved her for so long," she told NewsChannel 5. "I never never in my life thougth she would actually send flowers or anything like that, I was in shock."
She also happens to be a huge Taylor Swift fan and even decorated her hospital room with pictures of the singer -- well before she received the letter on Tuesday.
“… I’m so sorry to hear about the accident, my heart aches knowing that such a wonderful person is having to go through this…” Swift wrote.
Lindsay still doesn't know how Swift found out about her injury but said her friends have tagged Swift in several posts on social media.
What is clear is her fandom for the pop star. Lindsay has attended 33 concerts since 2009, and even has tattoos honoring Swift.
"She's always been a good person and definitely a good role model. I love her so much and the letter means the world to me. It'll help me get through recovery, and ease the pain of broken ribs, a broken back, broken leg, broken neck, and a broken arm," Lindsay said.
Lindsay will be in rehab and is currently on medical leave from cosmetology school. Her dream is to one day do Swift's makeup.
