NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Tax-free weekend has arrived as students across Tennessee prepare to head back to school.

During this holiday period, Nashville shoppers can save 9.25% on more than 150 different items.

Murfreesboro shoppers can save 9.75%, while Clarksville shoppers save 9.5%. Those are the local sales tax rates in each city.

This is statewide, so that means anywhere you go you will be dealing with crowds so plan accordingly.

Even if you don't have a student in your house, this is the time to stock up on what you need. Some items like computers, clothes valued less than $100 and diapers those are tax-exempt, as well.

The tax-free sales end Sunday night.
