NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Police have identified a suspect in connection with a deadly stabbing in Nashville.
The incident happened just after 7 a.m. Monday near a Mapco Mart near the intersection of Thompson Lane and Murfreesboro Pike.
Metro Police say 43-year-old Leonard McKnight Jr. punched and robbed a man of his wallet with a knife in the side parking lot of the store. Witnesses said the robbery victim then went after McKnight Jr., disarming him and stabbing him multiple times with his own knife.
McKnight was found on the curb outside the gas station.
On Wednesday, police identified the suspect as 23-year-old Omar Guillen-Garcia. A criminal homicide warrant has been issued for his arrest.
