A Storm 5 Alert has been issued for Tuesday as remnants of Subtropical storm Alberto moves into Middle Tennessee.
A few showers began moving into the area during the morning commute. From lunchtime through the evening, the region will see chances for severe weather from Alberto.
Heavy rain could cause flash flooding along and west of I-65. Areas east of I-65 will see the best potential for strong wind and even brief spin-up tornadoes.
Between midnight to 5 p.m. Wednesday 2”-4” of rain with isolated areas seeing higher amounts is expected.
