NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — After our second winter storm of the week arrived Wednesday, the mid-state will finally start to warm up this weekend.
Wednesday's winter storm brought a mix of snow and some freezing rain to our area.
Fortunately, all winter storm warnings in the Middle Tennessee area were replaced by Winter Weather Advisories. Snow showers and freezing rain are still possible into the evening.

The first round of snow, sleet, and freezing rain came to an end Tuesday, but icy conditions will stick around. Temperatures were in the single digits with wind chills sub zero in some spots.
The biggest thing to focus on is a layer of ice will be underneath the snow leading to very treacherous travel conditions for the next few days. Temperatures aren't expected to drift above freezing until late this week so there won't be much help from mother nature to melt all of the ice.
Roads will remain icy through Friday.
