NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Conservative radio host Steve Gill has resigned from his role as political editor at The Tennessee Star following his arrest in Williamson County.

The Tennessee Star confirmed Monday that Gill had also resigned from the board of directors.

“Steve Gill is a good friend, a good man, and a great talent. We wish him well in his future endeavors,” Michael Patrick Leahy, CEO of Star News Digital Media, said via The Tennessee Star's website.

Gill hosts the morning show The Tennessee Star Gill Report on WLAC 98.3.

He was arrested last week and booked into the Williamson County Jail on a $170,000 bond.

The arrest stemmed from not paying child support, according to The Tennessean.
